With my upgraded h1c 16cm I do not see the bottom of the compressor map at cruse(65mph 1675 rpm 2.44:1 final). Im still not even altitude compensating for my 5600′ el. (5600=11.98 psi absolute+2 psi boost =.9 pressure raito= off the chart.) I would like to improve this with out messing with the pump/fuel.
I am thinking of getting a bd deverter valve (requires a devided t4 or extra t3/t4 adaptor for t3-4-3) .
https://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-8204-bd-power-turbine-diverter-valve-t3t4-flange.aspx How small can I go before: a) surg issues 12 divided by 2=6cm, b)boost/drive pressure out of balance, c) how would the valve effect reading the compressor map? ( would I multiply the lbs of air by 2 or some fraction thereof to shift the drive value).
My interests are primarily in the 60 to 75 MPH RPM range with room to grow the motor after I get my aerodynamics figured out for Bonneville .
Hi, I have an 01 Cummins 5spd and my turbo is needing to be rebuilt but I don’t have the time to keep my truck off the road while it gets done or the time to do it myself. I do have a spare H1C kicking around and am wondering if I can put that on my truck while I take the time to rebuild the one that’s on it now? Will it cause any damage? Have you ever swapped them out?
Thanks for any advice you can offer
What’s up man! I’m just trying to upgrade the turbo on my truck directly! What would be a few options? I got a 1990 D250 with h1c.
