Warranty Policy

Turbocharger Warranty

All Turbo Lab remanufactured turbochargers carry a 24 months warranty from the date of supply,  provided that the turbo has been fitted and serviced in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers, and Turbo Technics’ fitting instructions.

VNT turbo cutawayTurbo lab do not regard any warranty period above 24 months to be of benefit to our customers. Turbochargers incorrectly built will fail long before 24 months from fitting.

Failure after this period will invariably be caused not by faulty manufacture, but by circumstances outside the control of the original turbo build.

We cannot cover turbine housings, because exhaust temperatures and the way you turbo time you turbo is out of our control.

We also do not warranty parts that we did not sell, traded, or exchanged parts where no money transacted for that part of the sale.

We also only cover the function of the turbo, not the appearance of the turbo charger. We are seeing more and more cracked turbine housings on OEM units. We recommend replacing these housings, if possible. However cracking can appear again due to improper care of the turbo charger which is out of our control. For more information go here.

Exchange Turbochargers

The Supplier Warranty on remanufactured turbos is given for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase.

The Supplier Warranty on either new or hybrid turbos is given for a period of 12 months.

Proof and date of purchase of turbocharger and replacement turbo oil feed pipe will be required before any claim can be made under the Supplier Warranty.

The Supplier Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the turbocharger. Particular attention should be paid to the turbocharger’s oil supply and ensuring that a high degree of cleanliness is maintained while fitting the turbocharger. The Seller shall not be liable for any repair or replacement if a turbocharger fails because of insufficient cleanliness during the fitting process.

No liability will be accepted if the turbocharger boost setting is outside the figures recommended by the Seller or the original vehicle manufacturer. The boost setting must always be checked after fitment to comply with this warranty.

Proof, in the form of receipts, may be required verifying that routine servicing has been carried out as per the manufacturer’s recommendations since the turbocharger was fitted. Special emphasis is placed upon oil change intervals, oil filter replacement and engine oil quality. In this respect, Turbo Lab recommends that you use a grade of oil approved and recommended by your vehicle manufacturer, as documented in the handbook.

If you wish to make a claim under the Supplier Warranty you must first contact the distributor who originally supplied the turbocharger. The Supplier will carry out a thorough examination of all components before a decision is made as to the validity of a warranty claim and if the Supplier accepts liability under the Supplier Warranty the distributor will contact you.

Although sympathetic to every warranty claim, only exchange units which fail due to defective workmanship or parts are warrantable. Failures due to circumstances or conditions outside our control cannot be accepted under the Turbo Technics warranty.

Repaired Turbochargers

Where repair work is carried out on a customer’s own turbocharger, the Supplier Warranty is limited to the parts supplied and the workmanship involved in the repair. This warranty shall not exceed 12 months.

We offer a 50mm x 62 x 65 billet 6 blade compressor wheel and tdo4hl 9 blade turbine wheel 45mm x 50mm. This setup is good for 375 hp and 425 ft/lb of torque. If you want more power than that you need to go different turbo all together.

Our Rebuilds are 180$. I know Ian upgraded a saab turbo and the turbine was not a tdo4HL originally, he machined it out for the tdo4HL turbine though. We have a 9 blade tdo4hl turbine and a 50 x 62 billet compressor wheel.

    Hi there,
I have a pair of K03’s off my 2001 Audi S4 that I would like upgraded. I was looking at your website and saw that you have a hybrid k03/k06, it made my jaw drop a bit. Can you tell me about a bit? Do you somehow fit all the k06 goodies in the the k03 housing or something? what would be the cost for both of my turbos??

    Thank you in advance.

Looking to upgrade an evo IX turbo to match my recently built 2.3l stroker.

Kindly advise on available options and costs for re-build that will maintain or improve stock spool while giving big power 450whp+

Note that am going SD, so comfortable with bigger turbo intake.

I have a 06 Ford with a 6.0. After ordering a rebuild kit, I realized that the turbo had be changed out by the prior owner. The o/s measurement on the 13 blade exhaust side is 72 mm and the measurement on the 14 blade cool side is 81 mm. I’d like you to rebuild it for me. Could you figure a quote
