We are proud to provide new HX40 compressor wheel and housings for easy HX35/HX40 hybrid upgrades!
Here are the details:
Brand new 62.45 mm x 86mm compressor housing for 7 blade HX40
Brand New 62.45 mm x 86mm x 90mm Extended Tip billet compressor wheel
Compressor Wheel Details:
Slimnose hub
~145 grams (larger but weigh about the same as stock)
Thin blades
Machined from solid aluminum
Extended blades
60 x 86 x 89.5mm
Balanced and ready to install
What else do you need To know to install this on your HX35 or HX40:
Your bearing housing must be machined to 87.5mm to accept the HX40 compressor Wheel
HX35 7 blade compressor wheels are 54mm x 78mm, so the bearing housing will need to be machined from 79.2 to 87.2mm for the compressor wheel to fit
HX35 8 blade compressor wheels are 56mm x 83mm, so the bearing housing will need to be machined from 84.2 to 87.2mm for the compressor wheel to fit
Take note that the HX40 8 blade is 57mm x 82mm, so the bearing housing for that will have to be machined also
We do machine bearing housings for $20, but most people take their bearing housing to a local machine shop, so they don’t have to wait on shipping down time
Take a look at the weight comparison picture between the two compressor wheels:
HX35 64mm x 76mm turbine Wheel and exhaust housing upgrade. Please Read Carefully:This Housing is made to directly fit 1998 -2002 24v turbochargers as a upgrade. To work on other models modification is need as listed below:
Modifications Required to fit 12v model turbos: (there are 2 versions of 12v Engines)
-To fit 12v turbos normally using horizontally mounted actuators, the threaded holes must be drill on the t3 flange for the manifold studs to go through the turbine housing. (thats it!)
-To fit 12v turbos normally using vertically mounted actuators, the threaded holes must be drill on the t3 flange for the manifold studs to go through the turbine housing, and the wastegate arm must be repositioned to operated vertically rather than horizontally. The arm must be cut off and rewelded. (Some 12v models cannot use the horizontal actuators because they interfere with the oil drain which won’t allow the turbo to bolt on.
Explanation of the fitment Modification:
This is a custom made housing, the t3 divided flange is threaded for 2 studs for the purpose of bolting onto an HX35 Dodge ram 1998.5 – 2002 24v exhaust manifold. If you want to use this with a 1989 -1998 12v manifold, the threaded holes will have to be drilled out larger on this turbine housing for the 12v manifold studs to allow the turbine housing to bolt on. (The 12v Exhaust manifolds have 4 threaded holes for studs on the manifold). In addition, this turbine housing is designed to be used with wastegate mounted to a 24v 1998-2002 compressor housing or you can use a 12v horizontal mounting wastegate actuator + mounting hardware, but only on 24v engines or 12v engines where the horizontal actuator wont interfere with the oil drain.
This turbine housing’s wastegate arm can be repositioned (cut off rewelded) to work with vertically mounted wastegate actuators, but not every 12 valve engine will allow a horizontal actuator to bolt on because the oil drain on some 12 valve engines will be in the way not allowing the horizontal actuator and turbo to bolt on. In summary some 12v engines can use a horizontal mounting wastegate actuator & Turbine housing and some cannot, but the turbine housing’s wastegate arm’s position can be changed to work with a vertical or horizontal mounting wastegate actuator, but you must have the matching wastegate actuator and mounting hardware. At the time of this writing, i only have the vertical mounting wastegate + hardware.
Actuator Seals Fit 07-19 Dodge Ram 6.7 Cummins Turbo
These seals fit VGT actuator for 2007 – 2019+ Dodge Ram with 6.7 Cummins. 2007 – 2012 has HE351VE turbo charger and 2013-2019 has an HE300VG turbo each use different VGT actuators but they use the same seals. We include these seals in our turbo rebuild kits which are different for the HE351VE and HE300VG. These seals should be replaced any time the actuator is removed, it’s common to remove the actuator during recalibration. Make sure the coolant is drained first before removing the actuator because the coolant can ruin the electronics of the actuator if spilled on the actuator.
Seals fit HE351VE (2007 -2012 6.7 Cummins) and HE300VG (2013-2019+ 6.7 Cummins)
Fits Ford F650 / F750 with 6.7 Cummins
Fits original turbo on 2007 -2019 Dodge Ram with 6.7 Cummins
At Turbo Lab we can Machine your HX35, H1C, or HX40 Turbine Housing to a larger Turbine Wheel. The Factory HX35 Turbine Wheel is 60mm x 70mm, and the Turbine Housing can be Machined to the HX40 64mm x 76mm and the HX40 67 mm x 76mm Turbine Wheel. Machining Your Turbine Housing for the Larger Turbine Wheel, will Help Lower EGTs, and Drive Pressure Significantly.
You Should Upgrade Your Turbine Wheel or Turbine Housing Size If you have Already Machined Your compressor Housing for an Hx40 60 x 86 Compressor Wheel or Larger. You need to use a Turbine Wheel in Sink with the Compressor Wheels Flow or close. The closer and Flow Rates the Compressor and Turbine Wheel are to each other the more Efficient your Turbo will be and the Faster It will Spool. If you use a 67 x 89 x 95 Billet Compressor Wheel then you Should use a 67mm x 76mm Turbine Wheel. If You use a 64mm x 76mm Turbine, You can Compensate by using a Larger Turbine Housing.
If You need us to Machine your HX35, H1C, or HX40 Turbine Housings, We can do that for You and we have all of our Programs on CNC. You can Contact Us Here.

Brand New Turbine Housing
Direct Replacement of HE341 HE351 HE351 Turbine Housing
Great To Replace Old Cracked Turbine Housing and Prevent New Turbine Housing From Cracking by Using Larger Turbine Wheel to Reduce Exhaust Temperature
The HE351 HE351CW and HE341 All Have Problems with Excessive Hot EGTs in Towing Condition. Our Turbine Housing and Turbine Wheel is Designed To Reduce Your EGTs as Much as 400 Degrees. One of Our Customers saw a 400 Degree Temperature Drop From 1600 Degrees to 1060 Degrees Fahrenheit in Towing Conditions Through the Mountains of Montana.
This Is the same Turbine Housing and Turbine Wheel, that we use in all of Our Upgrades for the HE351, HE351CW, and HE341. This Turbine Housing and Wheel Upgrade Is an Excellent Bolt on Upgrade for the HE351 and HE351CW Because the HE351 already has a 60 x 86 HX40 Compressor Wheel.
This Turbine Housing and Wheel Upgrade will Reduce Drive Pressure, Lower EGTs, Increase Fuel Economy, and Unleash up to 700 Horsepower (Dyno Proven with our 67x89x95 Billet Compressor Wheel In Combination with This Turbine Housing and Wheel)
