I have a galant vr4 with a Garrett 60-1 on meth. I run 35 psi (really pushing that 60-1) I’m looking for a turbo that supports more hp and these hx40 seem pretty popular in the dsm world. How reliable are they? Do you think the 63x99x103 6, 64×76 hx40 super 10 blade turbine with a .82 t3 housing setup will do the trick. How much would this turbo setup cost. Thanks, Josh

The HX40 7blade is good for just below 700 hp. it is plenty of turbo. I would use a Garrett .84 T4 turbine housing at minimum, Maybe even a 1.15. I have a friend that has a 1.15 on ebay right now for 100$. i do have to machine it for the Holset. If you wanted me to build you a turbo, the total cost would be 700, which would include me providing the Holset as a like new rebuild unit with a billet compressor wheel.

Hi Austin, my name is Fred and I live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and I watched your utube video on the H1C turbo and I subscribed to your website, I have a 1993 dodge diesel pickup with the original turbo that needs to be replaced after 240,000 miles, what performance turbo replacement would you suggest, us using the H1C platform, from your company and what would the replacement cost be. Thank you for your time !!

At minimum you need a to use the upgraded thrust bearing because those turbos have a really weak thrust bearing. Here is our upgraded h1c h1e rebuild kit You can do a lot with that turbo if you machine the plate for the hx35/Hx40 thrust collar.Watch this video and you can see all of the H1C H1E Turbo Upgrade Options. If you went with the Hx40 compressor wheel that would be a good Hx35 hx40 hybrid in the form of an H1c.

Looking for a good twin combo for a 4Bt, a lot of folks are running a HX30 40mm comp wheel and a 6cm ex housing over a hx35 has a 56mm comp and 12cm ex housing or a Hx30 over a Hx40. Not sure what the best idea here is, as I do know a ball bearing turbo will get out a lot faster and preferred. Please let me know what you guys think and what you can put together..
